Labirynth

A Passage

Moisture collects,

beaded, on the

cold

stone wall.

It is a dark passage

through imagination.

Unexpected avenus appear,

labyrinthine,

leading to

who knows where,

a maze of circuits and

dead ends

overlapping and intertwined.

A glow ahead promises

respite.

Illumination in

the end.

Tulips

Bold color on

delicate surface

veined and cupped to catch

sun and rain.

Breeze ruffles leaves

newly unfurled.

Spring is in the air.

Rainy Day Peace

Rain falls on the grass.
Children play in the basement.
Peace permeates all.

New Orleans Trolley

The trolley trundles along the track.

Tourists, tipsy with history and

hurricanes,

lean out the window

waiting for wind to bring them

strains of air-born music

and laughter.
